A pleasant, easy valley-bottom circuit that takes you on small rural roads through hamlets to discover the unsuspected lower Tarentaise region, linking Greater Aigueblanche to the Olympic city of Albertville.
Departing from Le Grand Aigueblanche, for a trip down the valley, where you can take advantage of the many services and shops, you begin by skirting the Morel nautical base to quickly arrive at the spa town of La Léchère and its pretty wooded park: admire the façade of the Hotel Radiana, a singular style evoking the dynamism of the Roaring Twenties! Continue along a flat but winding road through pretty hamlets to reach the foot of the Calvaire de Cevins hillside, arguably the most remarkable landscape in the Lower Tarentaise, with its south-east-facing vineyards covered in small fragments of schist. This is followed by a wide, straight road through La Bathie to Tours in Savoie: have you noticed a few geological curiosities, such as the "Clocher de l'Âne" (donkey bell tower) jutting out from the steep slopes, which could be mistaken for a feudal tower? Depending on the season, it's also a great place to admire large, beautiful cherry trees.
