Nâves is a village which turns into a Nordic ski domain in the winter with the highest cross country track in the Savoie, and into a real playground in the summer with its breathtaking hikes.
In the winter, Nâves is a magnificent cross-country ski area, with a total of 42km of pistes for both classical and skating, still preserved and very much appreciated by all cross-country skiers because there are pistes for all levels, some green and blue but also much more technical ones including the highest piste in the Savoie at an altitude of 1984m.
Sports enthusiasts will also appreciate the area for snow-shoeing with 6 circuits over 27km of tracks, but also for ski touring since it is a completely untouched, natural and wild area where the mountains can be enjoyed to their full.
Nâves is one of the 43 ski areas with the “Nordic France” label, thanks to its quality, diversity of activities, sustainable development and the services offered in the resort. A label that testifies to the efforts made by the professionals in the Nordic sector to constantly improve their offers.
Numerous hikes, 10 mountain biking itineraries and 1 Enduro track and about thirty climbing routes are available to the sporty as well as a paragliding take-off area at Lake Bozon for experienced paragliders.
For walkers, in both summer and winter, the ecological refuge of Nant du Beurre is open. Located at an altitude of 2,080 metres, the refuge accommodates up to 38 people in dormitories but also offers 2 “woodbulls” for timeless nights under the stars.
Attached to its “terroir” and to tradition, the local professionals and villagers will get together as usual for the Beaufort Fête in August and also the “Cortis d’en haut” , (“the altitude vegetable gardens”), in September.
